All Knee Braces that we offer are covered by insurance this includes hinged knee braces, OA (Osteoarthritis) Knee braces, Post-Op knee braces, and ACL/PCL Knee Braces. Our universal hidden hinged knee brace is one of our most popular knee braces for seniors who are looking for a easy fit knee brace that they can slide on and off whenever they need.
SHOULDER BRACES & SUPPORTS
If you or a loved are recovering from a shoulder injury or surgery Blue Light Medical Group offers a complete line of shoulder braces, supports, and systems that are all covered by Medicare and Florida Medicaid. Neck braces and supports are covered by most health insurances included Medicare, and Florida Medicaid. For our patients that are recovering from a neck injury or surgery we offer the Aspen line of neck braces and cervical collars. Unfortunately the DDS Cervical Traction collar is not covered by Medicare and is only available for out of pocket purchase please call the number below for more information.
Medicare and most health insurances no cover the purchase of ankle braces for all patients. At Blue Light Medical Group all of our ankle braces are covered by insurance. Attention: You can help us expedite the process of getting your brace covered by your insurance by downloading one of our prescription forms below and taking it to your doctor to sign. If you already have a signed prescription from your doctor for a brace or support and would like Blue Light Medical Group to bill your insurance please email your signed prescription to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once we receive the prescription, we will send the desired brace and submit a claim to your insurance provider.

WILL MY MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER THE PURCHASE OF A BRACE OR SUPPORT?
Yes depending on your insurance plan you may be eligible to receive a brace or support for little to no out of pocket cost upon your doctors approval.
WHAT BRACES OR SUPPORTS ARE COVERED BY MY MEDICAL INSURANCE?
Under the Durable Medical Equipment your Medical Insurance will cover medically necessary wrist, ankle, knee, back, neck, and shoulder braces or supports.
DO I NEED MY DOCTORS APPROVAL
Yes in order for your Medical Insurance to cover the purchase of your brace or support you must first receive a signed prescription by your doctor. Only your doctor can prescribe your brace or support for you
MY DOCTOR Gave Me a prescription for a back brace NOW WHAT?
Great once your doctor has signed the prescription form you can either mail the prescription back to us or fax the prescription to us at (321)244-2885. Once we receive the signed prescription back we will ship out the requested brace or support.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPPING?
No at Blue Light Medical Group we do not believe in charging our customers shipping! Your Braces ships for free by USPS Priority Mail and will arrive at your home in 2-3 days.
ARE THERE ANY FORMS I MUST SEND BACK TO YOU ONCE I RECEIVE MY DME EQUIPMENT?
Yes once you receive your brace you must sign and send back to us the Assignment of Benefits (AOB) sheet. You can either mail the AOB back to us in a prepaid envelope or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I HAVE MEDICARE IS THERE ANY OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES?
If Medicare’s your primary insurance and you are looking to get a brace or support covered you may be responsible for the 20% of the cost under Medicare’s 80/20. If you have a secondary insurance then they would cover the 20%
I HAVE MEDICARE AND I CAN’T AFFORT TO PAY THE 20%
If you do not have a Medicare supplement policy and are unable to afford your 20% coinsurance there is a hardship letter that you will need to sign stating you are unable to pay the 20%.
